Capability

Digital Forensics

Uncover. Analyze. Protect.

When the answer is on the device, the evidence has to survive scrutiny

Most organizations discover the same thing at the worst possible moment: the data that would prove what happened exists, but it was collected the wrong way. A manager copied files off a laptop before IT was called. A phone was powered on and synced. A departing employee's account was deleted per standard offboarding, along with everything that mattered.

Digital evidence is fragile and it is contested. In litigation, in an internal disciplinary matter, or in a federal inquiry, the question is rarely just what does the data show — it is can you prove the data is what you say it is, and that nobody altered it. Improper collection turns a strong case into an argument about your own methodology.

What Chambers Security Group does

01

Forensic acquisition and preservation

Defensible imaging of laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices, external media, and cloud-hosted data, with verified hash values and complete chain-of-custody documentation.

02

Examination and analysis

File system and artifact analysis, deleted file recovery, timeline reconstruction, USB and external device history, email and messaging analysis, browser and internet activity, and anti-forensic activity detection.

03

Data exfiltration investigations

Establishing what data left an environment, by what method, when, and by whom, including cloud sync, personal webmail, removable media, and print activity.

04

Mobile device forensics

Extraction and analysis of smartphones and tablets, including messaging applications, location artifacts, and application data.

05

Litigation support and e-discovery

Evidence collection and processing aligned to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, forensic reporting suitable for production, and coordination with counsel on scope and preservation obligations.

06

Expert witness support

Where a matter proceeds toward testimony, forensic findings carry through to expert reports and testimony — see Expert Witness Services for the full scope.

Why Chambers Security Group

Experience that has been tested where it counts.

Chambers Security Group is a veteran-owned firm led by a U.S. Navy veteran with more than 20 years in cybersecurity, digital forensics, and insider threat programs — including direct support for federal agencies, defense contractors, and Fortune 500 organizations. Every engagement is handled with the discretion and rigor that sensitive matters demand.

How an engagement works

01

Confidential scoping call

We discuss the matter, the devices and data sources involved, the timeline, and any preservation obligations already in effect.

02

Preservation first

Before analysis begins, evidence is secured. If there is a risk of spoliation, this happens immediately — we will tell you what to stop doing on the first call.

03

Forensic acquisition

Devices and data sources are imaged and verified. Chain of custody is documented at every transfer.

04

Examination and analysis

Findings are developed against the specific questions the engagement needs answered, not a generic checklist.

05

Reporting

You receive a written report stating findings, methodology, and supporting artifacts — written so a non-technical decision maker can act on it and a technical reviewer can validate it. Testifying expert support is available where the matter proceeds.

Confidential Consultation

Every engagement begins with a confidential conversation.
